Setting up a Flock to Unlock

Encourage your audience to post with a specific Hashtag or Keyword to reach a pre-defined target. Use it to unlock an exclusive content or promotion.

Before setting up a web Flock to Unlock Widget you should:

1. Set up a Flow.

Regardless of the status of the posts (Accepted, Pending or Rejected), all the content collected by the Flow will be reflected in the final result.

2. Create a Web Page. 

3. Add the Flock to Unlock Widget to your Page Canvas. To learn how to add Elements and Widgets to your Page, click here.

Content

  • Make sure you disable the example data.

  • Use the Pick Flow button to select the Flow you want to add to the Widget in order to start displaying data.

  • Configure the #hashtag (the same one used by the Flow) and @handle, and then click on Apply.

Behavior

  • Display the Count in:
    • Total Mentions 
    • Unique Authors

  • Set the Target your users must reach in order to unlock exclusive content.
    • E.g., your target is 1000 posts. Once the 1000 posts have been reached, the content will be unlocked.

  • Enable the Sources you have added to your Flow, this way all the content collected will count to unlock this Widget.

  • Time range:
    • Since start of tracking
    • Sliding Window
    • Exact Range

To count unique authors or mentions per minute, the only available time range is Since start of tracking.

Design

Background color: You can change the Background color using the color picker.

Texts: Pick the font from the list, add one from the google font catalog, or add your own custom font. For more information click here.

Progress Bar: Set the font of the number and color of the progress bar. This will represent the current percentage of your data.

Locked State

Show title: Enables or disables the title to encourage your audience to participate.

Show content: You can upload an image or add a URL of a video, however, there are some other external contents you can add. Click here to learn what type of external content is supported.

Vote button: Define the label of the Votebutton using the following variables to configure it:
  • @[handle] takes the @account you configured on the content tab.
  • #[hashtag] takes the #hashtag you configured on the content tab.
  • [name] takes the Flow's name.

Use Twitter Intent available when counting Total Mentions or Unique Authors.

  • @[handle]: "I believe [name] will win tonight #[hashtag]. Click to vote ENTER URL."
  • @account: "I believe [flowname] will win tonight #myhashtag. Click to vote www.myurl.com"

ENTER URL: replace it for the URL from where your audience can participate. E.g., Instagram post URL or Facebook post or Page URL.

Unlocked State

Show title: Enables or disables the title to inform your audience that content has been unlocked.

Show content: You can upload an image or add the URL of a video, however, there are some other external contents you can add.

Share button: Define the label of the Sharebutton using the following variables to configure it:
