And its tree like this:

The key for a scene to work properly is having the correct groups' hierarchy and plug-in settings.

Understanding the Scene's Tree

In our case, we need to make sure that all the data is connected to the Widget in order to display real-time information.

We will walk through all the scene's containers briefly explaining their function and taking more a detailed look at those who have a specific plugin showing their configuration.

1 - group

The "father" of the scene; it has no plugins:

2 - object

In charge of connecting the scene with the Widget; it has 3 plugins (all requires specific configuration):

  • DataCondition Plugin

  • STV_MessagesReader Container Plugin

In the field "Source Name", you should enter the same name that you defined on point D)

In the field "Automatic Load Period", you can specify the showing time between posts (in seconds)

  • DataArray Container Plugin

3 - poll_container

Just a container, it has NO plugins.

4 - group

The "box" or background of the ticker; it has 2 plugins but they are purely visual, you should be able to change them to match your project's visual identity:

5 - author

This is the username & handle of the post; it has 1 Text element, 1 material, and 1 plugin:

  • Text Element
  • Material
  • DataText Container Plugin

The "body" of the post (the text itself); it has 1 Text element and 1 plugin:
