This Data Connector is not included in the Graphics license and requires payment of an additional licensing fee. If you need access please contact your designated Customer Success Manager.

The Data connector AEMET uses the AEMET OpenData API which can get data on the provision of meteorological and climatological services for different locations in Spain.

Requirements

It requires an API key. if you do not have available, request to your Customer Success Manager designated in AEMET.

Adding the Data Connector to the Graphics Editor

First, you need to add an External Connector to your tree (1) and then click on Connect (2).

From the External Source panel choose AEMET OpenData (if it's not listed contact your designated Customer Success Manager)

Datasets / Tables

Complete the dataset settings by selecting a table. Each table has its own schema and represents different kinds of information. The tables supported are:

  • Forecast - daily”: This provides a daily forecast (7 days) for the supported municipalities listed in a selector.

  • Forecast - hourly”: This provides an hourly forecast (the number of hours is a parameter) for the supported municipalities listed in a selector.

  • Hourly observation data - station”: This provides hourly observation meteorological data (last 24 hours) from a specific meteorological station (also listed in a selector).

  • Current observation data - multiple stations”: This provides the last reported observation (it may have happened a few hours since the last report) for each meteorological station selected in a multiple option selector.

AEMET example graphics

With the data now set up, you can start creating your tree by using building blocks, binding content, and formatting the Graphics. In this example, we use the information from the AEMET OpenData API to show the weather of Madrid.

Watch the following video where we build an example of a daily forecast:
