Using Viz Flowics in post-production with Tricaster

Integrating Viz Flowics live graphics into a video post-production workflow is made possible with Tricaster.

To do this, you’ll need to convert Viz Flowics overlays into video assets that can be imported into your post-production workflow. Whether you’re working with a single overlay or an extensive graphics package, remember, each overlay requires its own video export. So, if your graphics package includes x overlays, you’ll ultimately export x videos.

In this article, we’ll cover each step to help you export overlays and convert them into video format using Tricaster and NDI tools, ensuring smooth integration into your workflow.

Please note that only the following TriCasters are compatible with this workflow:

  • Tricaster TC2 Elite.

  • Tricaster 1 Pro.

  • Tricaster Vizion.

  • Tricaster Vectar.

Requirements

  • NDI Studio Monitor to download click here.

  • Tricaster TC2 elite, Tricaster 1 pro, Tricaster Vizion or Tricaster Vectar

  • The output URL of your graphics package.


Obtaining a Video Render through Tricaster Buffer.

To obtain a render of any graphic generated in the Viz Flowics editor, it is necessary to follow these steps:

  1. Get the URL of the Output of your graphics package.


  2. Configure the Buffer with your Viz Flowics Output to do so Use


  3. In the NDI Studio Monitor select the option which contain the Viz Flowics Output.
    In the case of the TC2 Elite you can select de Buffer where the Output of Viz Flowics are, if you have a lower version you can select a Mix.


  4. Set folder where this video file is stored, you can check the path in the application.

Once these steps are completed, the next step is to record the graphic displayed in the Studio Monitor. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Record button inside the Studio Monitor.

  2. Wait 3 seconds, and from your Remote Control/Rundown Control in Viz Flowics, run the overlay you wish to render.

  3. Stop the recording, click the Record button again in the NDI Studio Monitor. A small box with the video symbol will appear.

You can now use the video within your editing software for post-product
