Before you begin working with a custom control interface in a Google Sheet, please make sure you have made your copy of the provided example spreadsheet. This is crucial so that you can be the owner of the spreadsheet and have full control over editing, adding, and deleting content. Learn how to do this by clicking here


Generate the token

To control your graphics through a custom control interface, it is imperative to generate a token for the Graphics Package that requires control. Detailed instructions for generating the token can be found in this article.

Replace the token

  1. Copy the token from your graphics package.

  2. In the spreadsheet go to the Settings tab >> replace the token.


Update Script permissions

  1. Go to the Control tab, and try to update the score

  2. An Authorization Required pop-up comes up. Click on OK

  3. Choose the account

  4. Click on Advance >> Go to API controls

  5. Allow Access


    After completing these steps you will be able to update the score and the other data from the spreadsheet.
