Updated over a week ago

With Scorebird, you can integrate real-time scoreboard data with Viz Flowics in two ways:

  1. NEST Device: A plug-and-play box that connects to your scoreboard and sends data changes to the cloud.

  2. Scorebuddy Pro App

This guide will walk you through the steps to integrate real-time scoreboard data into your Viz Flowics graphics using a Scorebird device.

Getting the Device ID

  1. Navigate to Devices in the left-hand side menu. The device ID can be found in the first column labeled 'NeST #.'

If you are using the Scorebuddy Pro app, you can locate the Device ID in the app settings:

Getting the API Key

The API token is required so that Viz Flowics can connect with Scorebird and get the data in real-time. To get the API token

  1. Go to your user profile

  2. Enable API Key

  3. From the drop-down menu click on "Other"

  4. click on the "Generate" button and then copy the token.

Configuring the Data Connector

  1. In the Viz Flowics Platform, navigate to "Data Connectors" in the top menu.

  2. Select "External Integrations".

  3. Click on the Connector to set up the credentials. If the status is Stopped then Start it.

If the connector is not available in your list, please get in touch with support at support@flowics.com

  4. Add an account by clicking on the Plus sign.

  5. Enter a name for the account and click "Save."

  6. Click on the plus sign to add the account credentials

  7. In the "Devices" box input the device ID and a description e.g., 00000|VizFlowics(iPad)
Just so you know, you can add as many devices as you need.

  8. Paste the API Key you previously got from the Scorebird site.

After completing these steps, you will be ready to build your graphics and bind the data to them.

Connecting the data to Viz Flowics graphics

After successfully configuring the Data Connector in Viz Flowics and ensuring your scoreboard in Scorebird is ready, go to the Viz Flowics Graphics Editor to build your graphics and connect the data.

Watch the following video to see how to add the Data Connector, configure it within the Graphics Editor, and bind the data to your graphics:
