With Viz Flowics, you can output graphics using Viz Connect Tetra through an SDI workflow. It connects Viz Flowics HTML5 to SDI Key & Fill.
In this article, we will provide a step-by-step guide and some requirements to complete this integration. Before continuing with this process, you may want to learn the advantages of using SDI by clicking here.

Input/Output Connections
Generally, simply connecting a suitable cable from one of the two Gigabit Ethernet ports on Viz Connect Tetra's backplane is all that is required to add it to a local network (LAN). In some settings, additional steps may be required.
Input/Output Configuration
Upon first launch, the configure SDI Input/Output menu will appear (This can be accessed later when closing the application and selecting the "Exit to Admin" option) to modify the system configuration settings.
This configuration makes to select presets using graphic representations that reference which ports will be input vs output, as well as show the port numbering and Alpha supporting connections.
The presets graphically display several input/output configurations as viewed from the rear of the system. Simply click a configuration preset to select it.
Video Settings
The video standard option is an important one since it determines the framerate family that the hardware can access, and thus what formats will be available for input and output. Options are NTSC and PAL.
If you configure the Video Format as the start of the session, you can easily be reminded of which inputs/outputs have a paired alpha by listing the SDI connection numbers in the drop down list under Format
Configuring Channels
Viz Connect Tetra allows you to select different video sources for each channel via the Configure panel. Click the gear next to the channel label to open its Configure panel.
Input Tab
The tabbed Input pane allows you to select the video source for the channel and set its format. To do so:
Select the "Add HTML..." option
Adding HTML
Enter the Output URL in the Web Browser to assign it to a channel
Set the resolution of the page requested from the web server
Click OK
Once you have clicked OK, the Viz Flowics Ouput will appear on the Viz Connect Tetra Channel.
Troubleshooting
Video Source Display and Viz Tetra Software Crashes
Issue: Video source is not display and the Viz Tetra software crashes.
Resolution: Verify that the ARC card is not in use, as it may cause the Viz Tetra software to crash and prevent input display. Instead, ensure the system uses the IGP, and make sure no hardware is connected to the ARC card.
The SDI outputs are not delivering a signal
Resolution: Verify that buffers are not configured to use the same output channel. For instance:
If one buffer is set to output video on channel 1 and alpha on channel 2, and this same configuration is assigned to SDI out channel 1, it will create a conflict that may prevent any output signal.
If you have confirmed these settings and the issue persists, you may need to delete the session files from the Tricaster. Please remove the following files:
Viz Connect.Session
Viz Connect.LastKnownGoodSession
