You can use Output Profiles to generate different outputs from a Graphics Package. This is useful for multi-purpose scenarios, in which operators need to produce a show that has several outputs. For example: you are producing a Live show but you also need to record an On Demand version for later, which shouldn't have all of the Graphics used while live.
Make sure to read first about Tags before start using the output profiles.
Creating an Output Profile
(1) Make sure the Graphics Package has been published.
(2) Go to All scenes.
(3) Under the Profiles section, click on Add Profile button. You might notice there is always a Default Profile which shows all the overlays and elements. This profile can't be edited or deleted.
(4) Add a Name to the profile. The Url field will be generated automatically, but you can change it if you prefer. You cannot use a name already in use.
(5) Select the Profile filtering mode:
Show only what's tagged with: for this mode, all elements from the tree are hidden except the ones tagged with the selected tags, their ancestors and their descendants.
Hide if tagged with: for this mode, elements tagged with the selected tags are hidden, including the descendants but not the ancestors.
(6) Select the tags you want to use to filter, you can select more than one, or even create a new one right from the quick add input. Related: Learn more about Tags.
Using an Output Profile
Once the profile is created, you won't be able to use it until you publish the Graphics Package and update the remote control.
Once you have published and updated the Graphics Package, you can check how your Output looks like by accessing with the external link icon or under the Open Output dropdown.
To make sure you are using the correct output profile, you can check the output url where the profile name is displayed (in the example below, you can see the profile=live-show).
If there isn't any 'profile=' on it, you are viewing the default profile.
This new URL can be used as a filtered output in the same way you use the default output.
Editing an Output Profile
When editing a Profile, you won't be able to see these changes until you publish the Graphics Package and update the remote control, just like when creating a new one.
If you didn't changed the URL field, you will see a message informing that there are unpublished changes, but you can still open the profile:
If you edited the URL field of your Profile, you won't be able to click in the external link.
Troubleshooting
Output Profiles can got in a failing state if all the associated Tags are deleted. In this case, the Profile will show all the overlays and elements of the Graphics Package. You will notice when a profile is in a failing state because its name will be marked red, as below.
