Managing Project Status in Viz Flowics
Managing Project Status in Viz Flowics

This article explains how to manage project statuses, including the differences between Running and Stopped states and their impact on functionality

Updated this week

A Project in Viz Flowics serves as a dedicated workspace where teams can create, manage, and organize various elements, including Graphics Packages, Middleware Sources, Mechanics, Pages, Flows, and more. Projects facilitate the grouping of related initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency and workflow management.

Project Status Categories

Projects in Viz Flowics operate under two distinct statuses: Running and Stopped. Users can transition between these states through the Company Home section of the platform.

A Project also can be set to Running or Stopped from the Project Home.

Running Projects

A project marked as Running is fully active, with all its components functioning without restrictions. However, the number of concurrent active projects is governed by the user's subscription plan. Each plan enforces a predefined quota on active projects. Once this limit is reached, users must stop an existing project before initiating a new one unless an upgrade to a higher-tier plan is performed. (Learn more about quotas)

Stopped Projects

A Stopped project is inactive, meaning its operations are suspended. While users retain the ability to access and modify project elements, functional limitations apply:

  • Flows: Configuration remains available, but new content collection is disabled.

  • Mechanics: Setup is permitted, but vote collection is suspended.

  • Pages: Editing and publishing functions remain accessible; however, modifications do not reflect on the live output.

  • Middleware Sources: Configuration access is retained, but no output data is generated.

  • Graphics Packages: Users can create and edit graphics, as well as test them via the Remote Control. However, the final output will display a watermark until the project is reinstated to the Running status.

Proper project status management ensures optimal resource utilization and compliance with subscription-based project quotas.
