Viz Flowics is a cloud-based graphics platform designed for live broadcast production. It lets you create, manage, and playout HTML5 graphics such as lower thirds, tickers, fullscreens, bugs, and more, enabling broadcast teams to create, update, and control live graphics from anywhere, without dedicated rendering hardware or complex on-premise infrastructure.
How it works
Flowics runs entirely in the cloud. Your graphics are created in a web-based editor, stored on Flowics servers, and delivered as a browser-based output URL. That URL can be loaded into any system that supports a browser source, such as Tricaster, NDI, SDI via a capture card, OBS, vMix, and more.
Who uses Flowics?
Flowics is used by three different types of users, often on the same team:
Graphic designers and producers
Create and manage graphics in the Graphics Editor. Configure animations, data connections, and visual design.
Operators and journalists
Control graphics during a live show using Remote Control or Rundown Control — no design knowledge required.
Developers and integrators
Connect Flowics to newsroom systems, automation tools, and data feeds using the Control API and Data Inputs.
Key concepts
Understanding these four terms will help you navigate Flowics:
Project
A folder that groups related work together. For example:
Morning Show or Election Coverage.
Graphics Package
A collection of graphics that are designed to work together within the same production. Packages contain overlays, scenes, outputs, and control interfaces.
Overlay
An individual graphic: for example, a lower third or a bug. Overlays live inside packages.
Output
A URL that renders your graphics live. This is what you load into your production system.
What Flowics is not
Not a video switcher
Flowics renders graphics as a transparent layer. Your switcher or production system handles the video composition.
Not an on-premise system
Flowics is cloud-based and requires an internet connection to function.
Not just a static graphics tool
Unlike traditional graphics systems focused on pre-built assets, Flowics enables graphics that react to live data, social content, and audience participation in real time.
Not a replacement for your production workflow
Flowics complements your existing production setup by providing live graphics, while your production tools handle switching, mixing, and final output.
What makes Flowics different
No dedicated graphics rendering server required
graphics render in the cloud and are delivered via browser
Real-time data connections
connect to Google Sheets, JSON feeds, sports data providers, and more
Multi-user workflows
designers, operators, and developers can work simultaneously on the same package
API-first
Every action in Flowics can be automated via the Control API
