Viz Flowics Support is available for MOS protocol version 2.8.5

This integration allows the connection of Avid iNEWS to Viz Flowics.

The communication between Avid iNEWS NCS and Viz Flowics occurs via the MOS protocol facilitating the direct transmission of news and stories to the Viz Flowics remote control's rundown interface for real-time on-air broadcasting.


Pre-Requisites

  1. You need to have installed and run the Viz Flowics MOS Gateway on the same network where Avid iNews is running. Learn how to install the Viz Flowics MOS Gateway here.

  2. Having configured the MOS plugin in Viz Flowics. To learn how to complete this configuration, click here.

  3. Having configured the MOSAgent service on the MOS server, which is done by your IT support.

  4. The required version of iNEWS for this integration is 8.0.42


Enabling Viz Flowics MOS Plugin in iNEWS

To be able to visualize the Viz Flowics plugin, it is necessary follow the steps below:

1. Go to "Tools" tab

2. Select "Plugins".

3. Select "Flowics" Plugin.

4. Click on "Login" and it will show a window where you need to get access with your Flowics Credentials.

After doing this you will be able to see the projects that your company has.


Adding a Graphic Overlays to a Story

Verify that the Rundown is connected to the Viz Flowics MOS Gateway, to do so:

  • Click on the Rundown

  • Then the status will be visible, the connection must appear in green to ensure that the system is communicating.

To add a graphic to your story do the following steps:

1. Select the Rundown where you want to add the overlay.

2. Ad a "new story", to do that you need to click on File and select "New Story".

3. Inside the story do right click go to " Import from Plugin" and select "Flowics".

4. Select the graphic template.

5. Click on "Use Template".

6. Fill the fields with your info.

7. Click on Add to Story to aggregate the template to your Story.

Your can see the template with your info inside the story.
