Viz Flowics Support is available for MOS protocol version 2.8
Please ensure you have CGI OpenMedia version 5.0 or later installed to complete this integration.
This integration allows CGI OpenMedia to be connected to Viz Flowics.
The communication between CGI OpenMedia and Viz Flowics occurs via the MOS protocol facilitating the direct transmission of news and stories directly to the Viz Flowics remote control's rundown interface for real-time on-air broadcasting.
Pre-Requisites
You need to have installed and run the Viz Flowics MOS Gateway on the same network where CGI OpenMedia is running. Learn how to install the Viz Flowics MOS Gateway here.
Having configured the MOS plugin in Viz Flowics. To learn how to complete this configuration, click here.
Make sure you are using CGI OpenMedia version 5.0 or later.
You need to have a licensed and configured instance of CGI OpenMedia OMIS Plugin MOS-gateway running, to enable MOS-communication between OpenMedia and Flowics
Creating a new Rundown on CGI OpenMedia.
To add graphics from Viz Flowics to CGI Open Media and be able to use them, it is necessary to follow the following steps :
In the top bar, click on the plus icon.
Click on the "Rundown" option.
Click on "OK".
Enter a name for your rundown.
Adding a New Story
After creating a new Rundown you will need to add stories to it.
To add a new story to your Rundown just click on the new story icon, or you can use the shortcut CTRL+T.
Enabling Viz Flowics MOS Plugin in CGI OpenMedia
To enable the connection between CGI OpenMedia and Viz Flowics, you just need to click on the "Viz Flowics" icon in the rundown menu.
To open the Viz Flowics Plugin, follow these steps:
Access your story content by double-clicking on the first icon.
Click on the Viz Flowics icon.
Login to Viz Flowics.
Adding Graphic Overlays to a Story
To add graphics to your story, follow these steps:
Select the Project.
Select the graphics package.
Choose the Overlay you want to work with.
Click on Use Template.
Fill the fields of the selected template.
Drag and drop the new item to your story.
Within the content of the stories, a new item will be generated, it will contain the graphic that you just added.
Every time a new template is added or edited within CGI OpenMedia, it is necessary to save the changes by clicking on the "Save" option or using the shortcut Ctrl + S.
All the created templates items will be available within the Viz Flowics Rundown for you to operate them.
